The CCC provides young adults with opportunities to work on managing natural resources, while gaining valuable life and career skills. No experience is required. All you need is motivation, commitment, a willingness to work hard, and a good attitude.
The CCC has positions available at our nonresidential center in Arcata, CA, as well as at 8 residential centers located throughout the state (Fortuna, Ukiah, Butte, Auburn, Greenwood, Tahoe, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura). Our "Corpsmembers" work 40 hours a week doing a variety of projects, including:
• Wildlife habitat restoration
• Small construction projects
• Trail maintenance
• Wildfire fuel reduction
• Emergency Response to fires, floods, oil spills, etc.
We also offer a range of specialized opportunities, including:
• Culinary programs
• Fisheries programs
• Wild-land firefighting programs
• A variety of paid internships
As a Corpsmember you will earn an average of $1,820/month, plus benefits. Every Corpsmember receives training, certifications, opportunities to promote, and education opportunities including the ability to earn up to $7,730 in annual scholarships.
