It’s Coming! Fortuna Citywide Yard Sale on Saturday, June 5th

Fortuna… It is that time of year again, when summer means sunny days and every Saturday and Sunday there is a new yard sale in Fortuna. People get up early to check the newspaper for the best yard sale prospects, and then hurry over to the phone poles at busy intersections to find even more locations. What better way is there to begin a summer weekend than with a treasure hunt?

To kick off the yard sale season, the Fortuna Downtown Business Association is hosting the annual Citywide Yard Sale on Saturday, June 5th. Main Street will be filled with sellers of antiques, collectibles, and rummage. The rest of town gets into the act with yard sales all over.

This is an open event, and Fortuna downtown businesses invite the public to come and enjoy their Saturday on Main Street. Look in the Humboldt Beacon on Thursday, June 3rd for a Citywide Yard Sale map, which will include the locations of all those having a sale in their own yard.

If you are interested in selling your items downtown or for more information, please call the Fortuna downtown hotline at 407-9494 or visit their website at FortunaDowntown.com to print out an application. Please call the Humboldt Beacon if you would like to be on their Citywide Yard Sale map. Happy bargain hunting!
